En Jarre 2022, recognized by Jancis Robinson

Crafting a great wine is an art that intertwines passion, precision, and respect for the land. With its En Jarre 2022, Château de Rouffiac embodies this philosophy through an exceptional Malbec, born on the siderolithic plateaus of Duravel. Renowned wine critic Tamlyn Currin, for Jancis Robinson, awarded it an impressive score of 16.5+, highlighting its remarkable aging potential until 2034.

Meticulous Winemaking for a Unique Experience

This wine, made from 45-year-old vines, is the result of meticulous craftsmanship. After controlled fermentation and a 25-day maceration, it was aged for 12 months in small amphorae crafted from black earth clay in Limoges.

"Smells dark and inky and tastes of mulberries and balsamic blackcurrants. Chewy and moody and glowering, the fruit tucked away and glimmering in the cave of tannins. It feels as if the alcohol is higher than 13.5%. A sense of tightly reined-in energy." Tamlyn Currin
